Norton Canes Community Partnership

Norton Canes Community Partnership (Registered Charity: 1091982) is an independent, established and confident community group, enhancing the village atmosphere by providing a variety of activities and forming new projects that benefit the local residents within the village of Norton canes.

All of the partnership volunteers are involved in a number of the projects including attending project sub-groups as well as organising events, applying for funding for the projects and have gained a great deal of support from everyone in the community. It was established to respond to the news of the whole community to relieve disadvantage and provide a positive future.

The appointment of the Community Liaison Support Officer (C.L.S.O) has provided a dedicated professional/technical support for the volunteers required to move forward with the projects that the community have identified.

Our long-term approach is to develop the involvement of local people to increase better communication and greater influence of people’s views through individuals, organisations and forums, to giving them the capacity and capability to help the delivery of a future strategy plan.

FREE Advice and Assistance Service

Do you know that the Partnership provides a FREE advice and assistance service? The same services as the CVS, but we are on your doorstep.

In fact, you tell us what service you want and we will endeavour to deliver it. In this year alone we have assisted groups in obtaining many thousands of pounds. We have organised various courses and training that have been provided FREE of charge, and as a result of some of theses courses new groups have been established.

We are in the process of setting up a mini charity shop within the office in the community centre. Anyone is welcome to drop in at any time when the office is open which is usually Monday to Thursday 8.30 – 3.30.

As with most things it is a case of use it or lose it so please, if you feel that we can help in any way, or, if you just want to pop in for a coffee and a chat, do come and pay us a visit and help us to continue to provide this service for you.
